Squidoo Lens Building Tips
How to Build A Quality Lens That Can Earn You Money
Pick a topic or subject that you have a passion for. It can be a hobby, information on starting a business, your view on life, or an opinion on a product or service.
It can be just about anything you want. The most important thing here is to make it your own. Don't browse the web for content to cut and paste into your lens.
Your lens is like a personal work of art. That's what makes it interesting and worth reading by others.
If you plan on building your lens for selling or marketing a product or service explain in detail how your products or services benifit the buyer. Don't just post a
bunch of links to your products or services. Show photos of your products and explain how they work.
When you start building your lens your first step on the lens building page will be choosing key words or phrases and a category that best fits your lens.
Next you will edit an introduction to your lens. This is where you will explain to viewers what your lens is about.
Don't be vague in your introduction. Be descriptive and try to use key words or phrases that you think people would type into a major search engine to find
information on what your lens is about. Try to include a photo in the space provided.
Your next step will be to create a content module. Very easy, just click on the tab that says Add Modules. Scroll down and click Text/Write module.
This is where you will place your main content about your lens. If you decide to add additional content later on you can create another content module.
Next add additional modules. Spend some time exploring what modules Squidoo has to offer. If you see a module for selling products on Amazon or Ebay that suits your lens
add it to your page and see how it looks. Squidoo lenses are very easy to edit so don't worry about making a mistake. If you have websites related to your lens
add a link list module. Use a minimum of three modules, I try to use at least five on my own lenses. Add a guestbook module at the end of your lens so visitors can leave comments
on your page.
After you have finished adding your modules int the right menu you will see a link to edit tags. These are keywords that best describe your lens. Make sure that the
primary tag relates to your lens and try to add a minimum of at least four or five more tags that relate to your lenses content.
Publish your lens and if it looks the way you want it to move on to the next step. If not edit it until you get it looking the way you want it.
